The number of Wisconsin residents hospitalized for COVID-19 continues to grow. The state Department of Health reports 959-people are being treated for coronavirus–with 243 in intensive care. Five and a half percent of positive cases are requiring hospitalization.
Overall, the state reports 3,107 new cases on Wednesday. The positive test rate rose to 21.4%. There were 28-deaths today–raising the total to 1,536. Three of those deaths were in Outagamie County. Waupaca County saw two deaths–while Brown and Winnebago Counties each had one.
Brown County added 175 new cases. Outagamie County had 118. Winnebago County reported 109 cases. Calumet County was up by 48 and Fond du Lac County added 38.
