The state will provide a half-million dollars toward the expansion of the Port of Green Bay. The port is looking to purchase the former Wisconsin Public Service Pulliam Power Plant at the mouth of the Fox River. That will also involved the relocation of a coal storage pile–which has caused coal dust to blow into downtown Green Bay at times. The grant is coming from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
