Two students were recently awarded by the Appleton League of Women Voters for their work in educating their peers on the importance of voting! The 2020 Making Democracy Work Youth Award was given to Grace Demetrician and Elaina Anderson, students in the AASD Marketing Program. The pair has worked with the Appleton League to create social media and video campaigns to engage other students in the voting process.

It’s a new year, and a new time to CELEBRATE Volunteers! One month from today — the deadline to nominate a hardworking volunteer in your life. We’re learning more about Celebrating Volunteers today from Jean Blaney McGinnis, Employee Volunteer Program Specialist that’s part of ThedaCare’s Community Health Improvement department. We also have with us, the 2020 recipient of the healthcare award, Betsy Rachubinski. Celebrating Volunteers presents awards in six categories and honors Fox Valley volunteers with $26,000 in donations.
