More charges in connection with sturgeon egg scheme

Fond du Lac County prosecutors file more charges in connection with a sturgeon egg trading scheme involving D-N-R personnel. Shawn Wendt of Oakfield, along with Mary and Victor Schneider of Fond du Lac, are facing counts of Unlawful Sale of Game Fish. According to the criminal complaints, Wendt and the Schneiders took delivery of sturgeon eggs that D-N-R personnel collected from spearers saying they would be used for research. The processors then split the resulting caviar with the D-N-R workers. All three will make the first court appearances in April.
