
The number of new coronavirus cases is back above a thousand for the first time in almost two months. The Department of Health Services reports 1,046 positive tests Thursday–the most since February 11th. The positivity rate was 18-percent. Chief Medical Officer Doctor Ryan Westergaard fears that may show more spread of COVID variants. There were another 14 deaths reported yesterday. That brings the statewide total to 6,667. Outagamie, Kewaunee, and Waushara counties each reported one death. Outagamie County had 40 new cases. Brown County reported 37. Winnebago County was up by 36 new cases–while Calumet County had seven.
