Parent-organized proms are creating confusion in the Oshkosh School District. The district sent a notice to families that rumors of students that attend the private dances would be banned from graduation ceremonies are false. Oshkosh canceled their school-sponsored proms in March–leading parents to start organizing their own events. District officials do warn that those who attend unofficial proms and contract COVID-19 will have to stay home from school until fully-recovered.
