A Shawano County deputy was involved in an officer related shooting last night.
According to the Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation the suspect has non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say the deputy was called to a single car crash on Upper Red Lake Road in Red Springs around 9:30 p.m. The deputy found a driver with a gun in his hands. DCI says the suspect refused orders to drop the gun and instead raised it toward the deputy. That’s when the deputy fired. DCI is investigating.
