A resolution asking Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford not to issue any more health orders gets a total rewriting from the Board of Health. he measure from four Common Council members pointed out the city is without a permanent Health Officer and also called upon the Mayor to fill that position as quickly as possible. The Board of Health removed all of that language–pointed out that there is an interim Health Officer in place–and encouraged the Mayor to follow C-D-C guidelines for policies. Chairperson Kathy Spears thinks the new language better reflects the situation. The amended resolution now heads back to the Appleton Common Council for consideration.
