The Labor Day holiday weekend was anything but quiet for the Oshkosh Police Department. Officers are investigating a pair of stabbings and a shooting.
Police are looking for a suspect in a weekend stabbing. Investigators say a 23-year old man was stabbed in the 500-block of North Main Street in Oshkosh around 12:45 Saturday morning. His injuries were non-life-threatening. Police say the suspect is a Black man who fled the scene.
Two teenagers and a woman are in custody in connection with a drive-by shooting. Oshkosh Police say an altercation in the 200-block of West 20th Avenue led to groups of people leaving in separate vehicles around 1:30 Sunday morning. A 16-year old boy driving one of the cars allegedly fired several shots at the other vehicle in the 200-block of West 10th Avenue. No one was hurt. The teen–along with a 15-year old girl and a 38-year old woman–were taken into custody.
And, three people are in custody–another suspect is wanted–in connection with a second stabbing in Oshkosh. According to police, a 34-year old man was stabbed in the 200-block of West 20th Avenue around 11:00 Monday night. Three men–ages 33, 30, and 27–were taken into custody. A fourth suspect–Tanner Kent remains at large.
