Some snow days in the Oshkosh Area School District are proposed to be changed to mental health days for teachers and staff members. The board of education heard a report Wednesday that recommends using two snow days on February 17th and 18th as days to help staffers who’ve faced physical and emotional challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Director of Learning Kim Brown believes such breaks would boost staff morale.
Board member Christopher Wright believes using the snow days to help teachers and staff can only benefit the district.
The mental health and wellness days would be treated as paid days off for teachers and school staff.
