The Village of Harrison is looking for a new president. Incumbent Village President Kevin Hietpas submitted a letter of resignation on Wednesday, which was effective immediately. Hietpas cited family health concerns as the reason for stepping down. Hietpas has served the Village of Harrison as Chair of the Village Plan Commission and as a Village Trustee. He also was involved in the incorporation efforts to make Harrison a village in 2013. Hietpas’s term runs through April 2023 and the village board will determine succession options at an upcoming meeting.
