An aggresive form of cancer claims the life of a New Holstein Police Officer. Macullen Schnell of Kiel died Christmas night with his parents by his side, according to the Facebook page “No One Fights Alone/Team MAC Macullen Schnell. He was diagnosed with grey zone lymphoma in 2020, which is a very rare form of cancer. At the time he died, Schnell was battling Graft-versus-Host Disease and a bacterial virus. But Officer Schnell continued serving his community almost to the end. Earlier this month, Schnell was seen in social media smiling with other officers. He was taking part in New Holstein’s “Shop with a Cop” holiday campaign.
