As the Appleton Area School District considers a possible referendum for new and renovated school buildings, some consideration is being given to spaces to help students de-stress. The idea of quiet spaces was suggested during a meeting of the “Future Needs Focus Group”. Chief Financial Officer Greg Harjtes says such spaces can offer students needed mental breaks.
Harjtes says students have few de-stressing options in most current school buildings.
