A free COVID-19 event hopes to provide vaccinations for hard to reach communities and populations in the Fox Valley.
The first vaccine clinic will be held at the Elisha D. Smith Public Library in Menasha on Wednesday, January 12 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. IDs or health insurance are not required.
The event offers first and second doses and booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine. The clinic for the second shot of the Pfizer vaccine is scheduled for Thursday, February 3 from 2:30 to 5 :30 p.m. at the Menasha library.
Event leaders hope the event helps hard to reach communities and populations, or those with cultural or language barriers.
“It’s the environment we create and the co-creation of safe spaces and the trust piece that we have to answer any questions that they have,” shares Dr. Pam Her with the Multicultural Coalition Inc. “We offer wrap around services there in case they have other needs for their family. We are building this trusting relationship with them, so that they feel comfortable.”
Dr. Her shares that there will be an additional clinic this week, held Thursday, January 13 at Highlands Elementary School in Appleton from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
