Union workers at the Oshkosh Corporation hold a weekend rally demanding construction of new delivery vehicles for the U-S Postal Service be brought back to Oshkosh. U-A-W Steward Tim Jacobson believes the company won the contract because the U-S-P-S believed the work would be done in Wisconsin.
U-A-W Local President Bob Lynk says that even if the company has started work on its South Carolina facility, some work could be done locally…………
Several Democratic U-S Senate candidates–including Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes –addressed the union members.
Oshkosh Defense announced last June that it would build the postal vehicles in South Carolina. It just recently became an issue in the Wisconsin Senate race.
