The mother of a baby found in a garbage bag in the village of Theresa 13 years ago has been identified.
Karin Luttinen from Milwaukee made her first appearance in Dodge County Court Friday. Sheriff Dale Schmidt says she’s charged with concealing the death of a child relating to the issue of a woman. The felony is punishable by no more than three years and six months in prison or both and up to a $10,000 fine.
In 2014, the Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney worked together to file charges against the then unknown mother’s DNA profile to prevent the six year statue of eliminations for the charges from running out.
