The newest member of the Appleton School Board corrects errors on his campaign finance reports. Pheng Thao has filed amended pre-election reports that no longer list donations coming from businesses.
State election laws bar candidates from reporting donations from businesses, which must be credited to the owners of those companies. The Elections Commission gives candidates opportunities to file amended reports and will not take any action against Thao.
