GREEN BAY, WI — The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay says it’s mission to those facing unintended pregnancies will continue now that Roe V. Wade has been overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. The high court upheld a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15-weeks of pregnancy.
At an afternoon news conference, Father John Girotti, the diocese Vicar General, read a statement from Bishop David Ricken emphasizing the need for the faith community to continue aiding all families-to-be.
At that same news conference, an Appleton medical clinic dedicated to helping women and men with unintended pregnancies will continue its commitment to the community now that Roe Versus Wade has been struck down.
Anna Tretinyak, the Executive Director of Vida Medical Clinic and Support Services, says their services are needed now more than ever.
VIDA Medical Clinic and Health Services in Appleton was also on hand to reaffirm its commitment to providing full, inclusive and free care to families in need.
