J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue in Menasha is the temporary home for a small alligator pulled from Long Lake in Fond du Lac County.
CAMPBELLSPORT, WI — An unusual occupant is pulled from a lake near Campbellsport in Fond du Lac County. An American alligator was discovered in Long Lake last Friday. The Osceola Boat Patrol pulled the gator, which was less than 30-inches long, from the lake and turned to over to D-N-R Conservation Wardens. It was then brought to J-and-R Aquatic Animal Rescue in Menasha. It’ll be held there for a week while they try and find the owner. If unsuccessful, the gator will be turned over to a sanctuary.
