BISMARCK, ND–A North Dakota man will spend eight years in prison for a distracted driving crash that killed a Chilton woman. Timothy McLaughlin is also sentenced to two years on probation for Manslaughter and Aggravated Reckless Driving.
McLaughlin was watching porn on his cellphone when his truck slammed into the back of a car that had stopped for a construction zone along Interstate 94 in North Dakota back in July of 2020. Marikay Mathes of Chilton was killed in that crash.
