NEENAH, Wis–The “grandparents scam” is making the rounds again in Winnebago County. Both the Neenah and Oshkosh Police Departments report residents getting calls from someone claiming to be the victim’s grandchild and needing money to post bail.
One woman in Oshkosh reportedly lost several thousand dollars in the scam. Neenah Police say they have taken 60-reports of scam calls in just the past two and a half months.
