OCONTO, Wis. — A new district attorney is needed in Oconto County.
Edward Burke, Jr. resigns effective Thursday.
The new DA will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends in January of 2025.
Governor Evers’ office has begun accepting applications. They’re due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 21.
