GREEN BAY, Wis–It’s back to the drawing board for the Green Bay city budget. This week, the City Council rejected the proposal put forth by Mayor Eric Genrich, which would have increased spending by $11-million, and the property tax levy by$5.2-million.
Alder Melinda Eck was among those saying residents are upset by the property tax increase.
In the 7-to-4 vote rejecting the budget, alders asked city department heads to cut at least one million dollars before the council meets again next Tuesday.
