GREEN BAY, Wis. — A Green Bay woman is accused of leaving her kids unattended while she drank at a downtown bar.
An officer looking for a suspect who fled a traffic stop on foot entered the Pine Street ramp around midnight Saturday and found a 6-year old boy, who is non-verbal, walking around. Investigators were able to use a database to identify the child and to access his address.
When another officer arrived at the home, he reportedly found a 4-year-old girl there by herself.
The 25-year-old mother, Christina Badalamenti, was contacted at a tavern. She claimed that she had left the children with a babysitter, but that person told police she had never been contacted to watch the kids.
Badalamenti is charged in Brown County Court with two felony counts of Neglecting a Child and one misdemeanor count of Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
