OSHKOSH, Wis–Winnebago County accuses the state Department of Natural Resources of violating zoning ordinances. A notice of violation issued last Wednesday, accuses the D-N-R of building a cold storage building on Asylum Point along Sherman Road without obtaining proper permits.

The department initially applied for the zoning permits, but failed to follow through in the process and started construction last year anyway. The notice of violation gives the D-N-R until February 1st to contact the county about working out a resolution, or face daily fines of up to $200.
