GREEN BAY, Wis–A Brown County judge orders a temporary stop to audio recording of public areas in Green Bay City Hall. Judge Marc Hammer issues a restraining order in a lawsuit filed by State Senator Andre Jacque against Mayor Eric Genrich.
City officials say the microphones and recording units were installed two years ago following incidents of verbal abuse against municipal employees. Critics point out the Green Bay City Council never approved that, and there were no signs posted until recently to inform the public they are being recorded.

Judge Hammer also ruled that any recordings be sealed and released only by court order.
