OSHKOSH, Wis–The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office releases the names of a Wolf River couple found dead in their home. Sheriff’s deputies discovered David and Jan Metzig during a welfare check Saturday morning.
The Metzigs were owners of the Union Star Cheese Factory in Fremont. A person of interest in their deaths was taken into custody at the Heart of the Valley YMCA in Kimberly a couple of hours after the discovery.
Criminal charges are pending.
