GREEN BAY, Wis–A Green Bay woman accused of killing and dismembering her boyfriend is found to be mentally competent to stand trial. Doctors believe that Taylor Schabusiness is able to assist in her own defense on charges of First Degree Intentional Homicide, Third Degree Sexual Assault, and Mutilating a Corpse. Jury selection in her trial will begin on July 21st.
Schabusiness is accused of choking Shad Thyrion to death during sex in February of last year before cutting his body into pieces–which she allegedly hid around the basement of his mother’s home. Last month, Schabusiness attacked her previous attorney in court during another competency hearing.
She would face life in prison if convicted.
