APPLETON, WI –A fire leaves an Appleton duplex uninhabitable. Appleton Fire Fighters were dispatched to the residence in the 2700 block of East Theodore Lane at 10:48 pm Saturday. Smoke and flames were already outside of both garages of the duplex when fire crews arrived. The blaze was brought under control within 30-minutes. None of those living in the duplex units were injured. The Appleton Fire Department says the fire caused an estimated $175,000 in damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known and it is under investigation.
