APPLETON, Wis–The new estimated cost of redesigning the Appleton Public Library is $35.2 million dollars. The city’s Finance Committee will consider a package of bids totaling that amount tonight (Monday).

That is down from the $40-million price tag from the first round of bids last year, which caused the city to put a pause on the project. The initial estimate for the library project was $30-million, with that funded by a combination of city funds and donations.
