Amazon Prime Day is coming up. Here’s a quick run-down of what you can expect.
Prime Day 2023 will run from Tuesday, July 11 at 3 a.m. ET through Wednesday, July 12. Every 30 minutes, a new offer will drop during certain periods, and for certain retailers, some sales are already live on the site. Prime Day is known for its sales on things like headphones, vacuums, cookware, Apple products, luggage, fitness equipment, and outdoor gear, for starters.
Each year, the sitewide sale is put on for members of Amazon’s Prime subscription service. Originally, it was a one-day event, but has since become a 48-hour long event, with the first ever Prime Day taking place in 2015. According to Mashable, Amazon says that they will be offering “millions of deals across categories” throughout this year’s Prime Day, stating that they will have “more deals than any Prime Day event before.”
If you’re interested in finding some new things to watch, select titles in the Prime Video library are on sale right now up to 50% off. This includes rentals and a few channels, such as Starz, Cinemax, and Hallmark Movies Now, which are only 99 cents/month for two months. You can also get a two-month Paramount+ and AMC+ subscription half off now through July 12. Additionally, book lovers can get three months off of Kindle Unlimited with a Prime membership, which is normally $11.99 per month.
If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, but you still want to participate, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial around the time of the event. Don’t forget to cancel your trial once the sale is over so you aren’t charged.
Happy shopping!
