According to Republican Presidential Candidate Nikki Haley, enrollment in the U. S. Military is down 25%. There are a number of reasons why this might be the case, and in all likelihood, it’s probably a combination.
Rather than speculate, I figured it would be better to get some insight from an Appleton native with recent military experience.
Bill Walsh enlisted immediately after high school back in 2012, and has served in a number of different locations all around the world.
He shared some thoughts about has led to the decline and his perspective about what would need to change to right the ship.
