At the end of 2023, it was anticipated that the election based chaos would ensue as soon as the holiday season concluded. Those assumptions… were correct.
On January 2nd, I broke down the decision the Wisconsin Election Commission made to refuse to hear the case concerning the removal of Donald Trump from the Wisconsin Republican Primary Ballot.
It turns out, that is only where the story begins.
Minocqua Brewing Company Owner, Kirk Bangstad, has been in the news for a myriad of reasons since my arrival in the Fox Cities 16 short months ago, and today doesn’t seem to be any different.
He announced on the program today that, with the help of his SuperPac, he intends to push this case forward to the next level by bringing it to a Dane County Circuit Judge.
Needless to say, this has elicited reactions from both the right and the left, both positively and negatively, and with good cause.
31 states currently have challenges in the legal system to try and remove Trump, and now we can add Wisconsin to this list.
Kirk answered my questions pertaining to the legal viability of the challenge, reactions from other prominent Wisconsin politicians to the lawsuit, and the reasons why he thought he was the right person to begin this process.
