DODGE COUNTY, Wis. — A Hartford man is dead after a police chase ends in a crash in Dodge County.
A sheriff’s deputy tried pulling over the 27-year-old, who was reported to be possibly impaired, on State Highway 33 near State Highway 67 shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday. He allegedly sped off on 67 and reached speeds of more than 100 mph.
The man eventually lost control of the vehicle on Horseshoe Road and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
