UPDATE (2/23): Two Rivers police confirm the activity at the landfill is related to the search for Vue.

UPDATE at 4:30 PM–The F-B-I is conducting an investigation that comes days after a three-year old Two Rivers boy went missing. Elijah Vue was reported missing on Tuesday. His mother, Katrina Baur and resident from the address where Vue was reported missing, Jesse Vang, were taken into custody Wednesday. A court appearance today for Baur was canceled. Our media partner Action 2 News reports F-B-I investigators are at the Meadows Landfill in Calumet County, where the City of Two Rivers transports its trash. Few details are being released, though aerial views from WISN-TV show a blue tent has been set up, along with orange cones and crime scene tape. Excavation is also reportedly underway. The F-B-I is not saying whether the landfill is connected to the case of Elijah Vue. .
UPDATE at 12:20 pm–Today’s court appearance has been removed from the court calendar. The case file has also been sealed under order from the judge.

MANITOWOC, Wis–The mother of a missing Two Rivers boy will be in Manitowoc County Court today (Thursday). Katrina Baur was taken into custody the day after her three-year old son Elijah Vue was reported missing.
Police are recommending a charge of being party to child neglect, but no formal counts have been filed. Meanwhile, police are also recommending charges of child abuse against a man who lives at the address from where Vue went missing: Jesse Vang.
Both Baur and Vang remain in the Manitowoc County Jail.
