Dave Edwards—So, how’s your week going? 4-3-24
I thought I’d start a weekly feature talking about ONE thing that happened during the week and how it played into the remainder of the week. This could be an event, a bottle of wine, possibly a family phone call or maybe something that happened on the show.
I’ll begin with this little nugget: My wife and I decided to get our Grandson a basketball hoop for his upcoming birthday, and time it as a surprise for when he and his Mommy and Daddy returned from a short vacation.
That entailed ordering said hoop, taking it to their house and with trusty directions in hand, assembling the beast! No problem, except for the scrapes that ensued on my knuckles (ouch)! And, as fate would have it with “some assembly required”, it took 20 extra minutes to erect due to my putting a few bolts in the wrong slot, therefore removing said bolts and placing them in the right location ….(rassin frassin). It looks good, now!

Next up, leave a card for Carson with Happy Birthday all over it and a task for him to find his birthday gift! Yep, he found it and yelled audibly when he saw it! Knowing we could have bought him a box of Goldfish and he would have been happy, the basketball hoop was a really big smash!
Now I’ve done it….he’s going to want to go one-on-one every time we’re at the house. The over-under on more scrapes just went up.
