TOWN OF CALAMUS, Wis. and TOWNSHIP OF BEAR CREEK, Wis. — Two motorcyclists are badly hurt following separate crashes in Dodge and Waupaca counties.
In Dodge County, dispatchers received a 911 call of a motorcycle and the operator in a field near Owl Road in the town of Calamus around 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
The biker, a 37-year-old Beaver Dam man, was flown to UW Health in Madison with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
In Waupaca County, the sheriff’s office says a motorcyclist was on Silver Creek Road in the township of Bear Creek when they hit a deer, lost control and went into the ditch shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.
They were flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah, where their condition is unknown.
That crash remains under investigation.
