UPDATE: Wisconsin Public Service says about 43,000 customers had power back as of Wednesday afternoon. For customers in the hardest hit areas, WPS expects power to be restored or their outage assigned to a crew by Thursday afternoon.

APPLETON, Wis. — Thousands of Northeast Wisconsinites are without power following severe thunderstorms Tuesday night.
According to Wisconsin Public Services’ outage map, about 400 outages are affecting nearly 8,000 customers as of around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Meanwhile We Energies’ map shows about 200 outages impacting more than 2,000 of its customers.
It is not yet known when power will be fully restored.
