APPLETON, Wis. — Valley Transit is considering cuts to its fixed-route bus service.
The plan calls for weekday service to end at 6:15 p.m. and for Saturday service to end at 1:15 p.m.
General manager Ron McDonald says they simply cannot find people to drive the buses…………
McDonald adds that Valley Transit’s staffing issues are so bad, they will have to shut down the system for several days around the Fourth of July………..
After hours, those needing a ride will have to use the VT Connector service, which is an on-demand ride service.
A public hearing on the proposed cuts will be held on June 4.
