OSHKOSH, Wis. — A Fremont man who killed his parents reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Erik Metzig is convicted in Winnebago County Court on two counts of First-Degree Intentional Homicide.
Metzig shot his parents, David and Jan, to death in their home back in March of 2023. He had been scheduled to stand trial in October after pleading not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Metzig faces life in prison when sentenced on Oct. 30.
