OSHKOSH, Wis. — Sentencing is delayed for a Fremont man found guilty of killing his parents.
The attorney for Erik Metzig has been allowed to withdraw from the case, and law enforcement may investigate allegations Metzig made in a jailhouse letter to the court last month.
According to a filing by prosecutors, the allegations make claims of being a victim of sexual abuse.
Metzig shot and killed his parents, David and Jan Metzig, in their bed in March of 2023. He faces life in prison.
A status hearing is scheduled for Nov. 20.
