TOWN OF CALUMET, Wis. — The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged case of animal neglect.
Deputies were called to a home in the town of Calumet shortly before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on the report of an unpleasant odor.
Seventy dogs in various stages of health were found inside. They were safely removed and taken to the Eastshore Humane Association in Chilton.
Criminal charges are expected once the investigation concludes.
