TOWN OF KAUKAUNA, Wis. — A person is in custody following a burglary in Outagamie County.
Officers were called to an occupied home in the town of Kaukauna around 5:15 p.m. Thursday on the report of a burglary in progress. The suspect took off on foot before officers arrived.
A drone operated by the sheriff’s office helped locate the suspect in a field. The person was taken into custody and treated for a suspected drug overdose.
The suspect is believed to have fled from multiple attempted traffic stops in a stolen vehicle prior to the burglary.
The incident remains under investigation.
