APPLETON, Wis. — The 2025 sturgeon spearing season goes the full 16 days.
The state Department of Natural Resources says 943 fish were harvested across the Lake Winnebago system. That includes 617 from Winnebago and 326 from the upriver lakes.
The 943 sturgeon is more than twice the number harvested in 2024.
