MENASHA, Wis–An independent inspector may be brought in to check out the Racine Street Bridge in Menasha. Residents have complained about loud noises coming from the drawbridge when vehicles drive over it, and there have been other mechanical issues since it opened two years ago.

The city has also sent a letter to area state lawmakers asking to delay the transfer of ownership for the Racine Street Bridge until the inspection, and any needed repairs, are completed.
