ASHWAUBENON, Wis. — A crash between a car and a motorcycle results in the death of the motorcycle driver.
Police say an 18-year-old man from De Pere was driving the motorcycle southbound on Ashland Avenue around 11:25 p.m. Saturday when it struck a sedan turning west onto Mike McCarthy Way from northbound Ashland Avenue.
The motorcycle driver was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead after arrival at a local hospital.
The driver of the sedan, an 84-year-old Ashwaubenon woman, was hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The crash led to the closure of the intersection until 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
The investigation continues.
