FOND DU LAC, Wis. — One person is hurt following an explosion and fire in Fond du Lac.
Crews were called to a home along N. Park Avenue around 5:50 p.m. Saturday to find flames coming from a portable fire pit in the driveway.
The fire was contained to the pit.
A male living there was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of burns to his hands, arms and face.
Officials say the victim poured gasoline on cardboard in the pit and tried to light it, which led to the gas can exploding.
