APPLETON, Wis–“Chick season” is keeping members of the Appleton Police Department busy this spring. According to a Facebook post, officers have rescued more than 100-ducklings and goslings from storm drains or protected them while crossing busy streets this year.
Community service officers are usually called into help in chick rescue efforts.
