TOWN OF WAUKECHON, Wis. — Two people are killed in a two-vehicle crash in Shawano County Friday afternoon.
The Shawano County Dispatch Center responded to multiple 911 calls of a crash at the intersection of County Road BE and County Road B in the Town of Waukechon around 1:30 p.m.
The preliminary investigation determined a pickup truck driving east on County Road BE collided with an SUV attempting to turn west from County Road B.
The SUV occupants, a 69-year-old woman driver and a 71-year-old man who was the passenger, were found unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
