OSHKOSH, Wis. — Criminal charges are filed against a Fond du Lac man in connection with a fatal stabbing in Oshkosh’s Menominee Park.
Daunte Riley is facing counts of first-degree intentional homicide and disorderly conduct using a dangerous weapon.
According to the criminal complaint, Riley stabbed Walter Brooks twice following an altercation involving Riley’s cousin at the park on the night of July 5. Brooks initially left the scene in a car but crashed into a nearby power pole and was found dead.
Riley was arrested in Fond du Lac later that night. His girlfriend reportedly captured the incident on cellphone video.
Riley faces life in prison if convicted.
